Painter & Decorator

We are looking to add a full time painter/decorator to our expanding property maintenance company based in Edinburgh city centre who specialise in the maintenance of residential properties for a well-established Lettings and Estate Agency.


The company requires candidates who can deliver excellent organisational and people skills to work independently and also within an existing well organised and motivated team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and hard-working candidate with a ‘can do’ attitude.  The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, presentable and hard working with excellent time keeping and reliability.

 Main Duties and Responsibilities:

·      Undertake a range of painting tasks, to meet client requirements

·      Ensure Health and Safety regulations are complied with at all times

·      Ensure a professional image is presented at all times

·      Apply paint and other finishes like varnishes and stains to a variety of surfaces including wood, metals and plastics

·      Surface preparation, masking, mixing and clean-up

·      Using a range of coverings to enhance and protect surfaces

Working as a painter you must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

·      Safe operation

·      Workplace safety including working at heights

·      Safe lifting and handling procedures

·      Attention to detail

·      Highest regard for service quality

·      Able to manage time and prioritise work effectively both for area of responsibility and personally

·      Approachable and friendly demeanour

·      Have a pleasant customer service manner and a “can do” attitude

·      Have the ability to work diligently, independently and responsibly

·      3 years’ time served

·      Full clean driving license and Own Tools

For an experienced candidate we can offer:

A company van and uniform

Salary £18,000 - £20,000 depending on experience

Hours 8.30am – 5pm Monday – Thursday, Fridays 8.30am – 4.30pm

A company smart phone and iPad

Maintenance Plumber (Benaird Ltd - Edinburgh)

Edinburgh Based: Experienced time served plumber with relevant qualifications to work within a customer focused team, covering the Edinburgh area and surrounding postcodes carrying out all aspects of plumbing and maintenance/renewal works . Driving licence is essential you will be supplied with a van, iPad and phone expected to be part of on call Rota approx. Must live within a 30min proximity of Edinburgh city centre to attend emergency calls. No gas qualifications are required but would be of an advantage. Applicant must be polite, clean working, able to work alone and dedicated to help maintain the high standards of workmanship that our clients expect.

Job Type: Full-time

Hours 8.30 - 5pm  Mon-Thursday 4.30 on a Friday

Salary: £26,500.00 p/a + bonus scheme and overtime available.

Required experience:

Fully Qualified: 5 year Min.

Required licence or certification:

Driver's licence



Domestic Gas Engineer 

Edinburgh city centre Residential Letting & Estate Agency is looking for enthusiastic domestic gas engineers. The company requires candidates who can deliver excellent organisational and people skills to work independently and also as a team player within an existing well organised and motivated team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and hard-working candidate with a ‘can do’ attitude. Successful applicants will be provided with a van, phone and tablet. Candidate must have experience in domestic gas servicing/fault finding & repairs, boiler/heating installations as well as carrying out gas safety inspections & legionella risk assessments.


Qualifications - SVQ level 3 or equivalent. Current Gas Safe (ACS) qualifications domestic.

Required experience: Domestic Gas Engineer: 2 years’
Salary £26,000 - £30,000
