What the job involves
Based in Edinburgh, you will be responsible for developing our new financial services offering to enable us to become a true “one stop” property company. You will interact with clients and potential clients in the most ethical fashion in order to helping them obtain a cost-effective loan in the most efficient manner.
Some of the finer details of the job; you will:
Develop and maintain relationships with our existing clients in order to develop existing and new business
Maintain the highest standards of compliance
Achieve business targets established by the company
Identify each client’s mortgage and insurance needs and advise them throughout the mortgage lending process
Source the correct products
Submit applications and follow them through to completion
Sell additional products or services where possible
Help to manage our client database
What you will need:
CeMAP qualified, ideally higher level of qualification
Broad knowledge of the UK mortgage market, along with independent mortgage brokering experience (we would prefer candidates from an Estate Agency or a Mortgage Brokerage Background)
A proven background in business development
Knowledge and sales experience of additional insurance products
Strong inter-personal skills
An excellent compliance track record
High level presentation skills
The ability to work quickly, under pressure and to deadlines
Current legal right to work in the UK

PAINTER AND DECORATOR

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Undertake a range of painting tasks, to meet client requirements
Ensure Health and Safety regulations are complied with at all times
Ensure a professional image is presented at all times
Apply paint and other finishes like varnishes and stains to a variety of surfaces including wood, metals and plastics
Surface preparation, masking, mixing and clean-up
Using a range of coverings to enhance and protect surfaces
Working as a painter you must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:-
Workplace safety including working at heights
Safe lifting and handling procedures
Attention to detail

Able to manage time and prioritise work effectively both for area of responsibility and personally

LETTINGS RENTAL VALUER & PROPERTY SOURCER
We are looking to recruit a sales driven, dynamic individual with an in-depth knowledge of the Edinburgh rental market. Based in Edinburgh, the successful candidate will be responsible for dealing with enquiries from prospective landlords and investors, conducting valuations and converting leads to new instructions through effective sales pitching.
The role will involve offering sound and professional advice to prospective landlords on all aspects of tenancy legislation, investment potential and letting procedures to effectively promote DJ Alexander’s property management services.
You will be responsible for:-
growing and managing a data base of prospective investors in order to identify suitable properties from within DJ Alexander’s own sales stock and properties listed on the open market.Identification of off-market opportunities and off-plan properties under development will form a key part of the sourcing role.Using our own legal services division you will assist investors in the purchase of suitable properties and ultimately convert them to landlord clients in order to grow our managed portfolio.
Essential experience and key skills:-
At least 5 years experience operating within residential lettings
Detailed knowledge of the Edinburgh residential property sales and lettings market
Exceptional sales, presentation and negotiation skills
Confident communicator capable of dealing with high net worth individual
Full clean drivers license
