Enquiries Team Leader

We are now recruiting for an enthusiastic and professional Enquires Team Leader to work from our lettings office on Dundas Street, Edinburgh.

This challenging role will put you on the front line of our fast paced office, managing a team, communicating with our clients, dealing with a range of office based administration and property management tasks, with no two days the same!

Experience Required

We are looking for an individual with experience of managing and motivating a small team.  This team are responsible for managing a high volume of leads and enquiries which we receive for our rental properties.  For our more popular properties the team members must effectively vet and screen high numbers of applicants to ensure tenant suitability and for our more challenging properties and more proactive and innovative approach is required.  Excellent communication skills are essential and the successful candidate must come from a sales driven background and be able to demonstrate sound negotiation and leadership ability. Due to the high volume of applicants we deal with, some call center experience would be beneficial.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable dealing with all manner of incoming enquires to the office and be confident in dealing with existing and potential clients face to face and on the phone.  There is a requirement for the candidate to be comfortable in delivering both good and bad news, so a degree of empathy is essential. 

The role will require a very well organised individual with an interest in property who must be confident and assertive in their approach to dealing with the general public and must thrive on a fast paced office environment.

Mortgage Broker

If you are an experienced and qualified Mortgage Broker looking for a fulfilling and challenging role, and a career with prospects in a growing company with big plans. You are a self-motivated team player who likes to be ahead of the game and relishes working under pressure.

We are a fast-growing UK property management firm and estate agency with big ambitions. Our team currently manages and sells property across the central belt of Scotland, although we have big plans to develop and expand the geographical reach of the business at speed.  

What the job involves

Based in Edinburgh, you will be responsible for developing our new financial services offering to enable us to become a true “one stop” property company.  You will interact with clients and potential clients in the most ethical fashion in order to helping them obtain a cost-effective loan in the most efficient manner.

Some of the finer details of the job; you will:

Develop and maintain relationships with our existing clients in order to develop existing and new business

Maintain the highest standards of compliance

Achieve business targets established by the company

Identify each client’s mortgage and insurance needs and advise them throughout the mortgage lending process

Source the correct products

Submit applications and follow them through to completion

Sell additional products or services where possible

Help to manage our client database

What you will need:

CeMAP qualified, ideally higher level of qualification

Broad knowledge of the UK mortgage market, along with independent mortgage brokering experience (we would prefer candidates from an Estate Agency or a Mortgage Brokerage Background)

A proven background in business development

Knowledge and sales experience of additional insurance products

Strong inter-personal skills

An excellent compliance track record

High level presentation skills

The ability to work quickly, under pressure and to deadlines

Current legal right to work in the UK

Data Analyst

We are DJ Alexander, a fast-growing UK estate agency with big ambitions. Our team currently manages and sells property across the central belt of Scotland and we pride ourselves on our exceptional customer service. We have a requirement to gather and analyse a wide range of data spread across a number of disparate systems, both internal and external, and we are seeking an expert data analyst to join our dynamic team in central Edinburgh.  

What the job involves

You will be responsible for gathering and analysing data from across our business and the wider industry, in order to deliver against specific goals and to provide clear insight for the further expansion of our business.

Some of the finer details of the job; you will:

Use initiative and imagination to complete data knowledge requirements from a variety of internal and external sources, supported by our in-house software team

Find new and exciting ways to visualise and present your findings

Enable us to make well-informed and data-driven commercial decisions

Strive for the highest standards of data quality and governance

Continually innovate using the latest technology to improve collection, visualisation and analysis of data

Design specific algorithms to enable the business to make decisive and exciting new business strategy decisions

What you will need:

Proven track record in data analysis and problem solving, particularly in relation to large datasets where gaps in knowledge exist

Strong analytical and organisational skills

Thirst for knowledge and ability to seek out new sources of pertinent data

Eye for detail and accuracy

Knowledge and experience in working with relational database management systems (RDBMS), object oriented database management systems (OODBMS), NoSQL database management systems and XML database management systems is highly desirable

Current experience with a variety of web-based applications and channels

The ability to work quickly, under pressure and to deadlines

Up-to-date knowledge of technology and data regulations

Ability to work well in a fast paced environment, where the technology is constantly changing

Degree qualification in a data-related subject

FRONT DESK RECEPTION

Prestigious property sales and letting agency currently recruiting for a Front Desk Receptionist to be based in our Edinburgh office in Leith.  The fast paced environment means that employees need to work under pressure and have a superb attention to detail.

The ideal candidate would have reception experience be well spoken, have a polite, helpful manner, be well presented. Furthermore a good understanding of word, excel, e-mails would be required.

SENIOR PROPERTY MANAGER

An excellent opportunity has arisen and we are recruiting for an extremely skilled and experienced Senior Property Manager to be based from our offices on Dundas Street, Edinburgh.  We require a Senior Property Manger to lead a team and manage a large portfolio of residential properties located throughout Edinburgh.  This is an excellent opportunity to join a prestigious company in a varied and fast paced role with fantastic career prospects.

Duties will involve:-

Property Viewings

Marketing and Advertising Properties

Managing your own team and overseeing the co-ordination of prospective tenancy applications

Organising inventories for incoming tenants and end of tenancy check outs and dilapidation reports

Carrying out routine property inspections

Rent arrear visits

Acting as point of contact between tenants and landlords, building good working relationships dealing with queries and resolving disputes

Diary Management

Skills required:-

Excellent customer care

Can demonstrate negotiation/communication skills and be very competent resolving conflict and potential disputes – both written and verbal

Good area knowledge

Must for familiar with all current safety legislation and good knowledge of HMO properties

Good leadership skills, able to inspire and motivate your team

IT proficient

Professional appearance

Experience within in the property industry essential

Must have full clean driver’s license
