Mortgage Broker

If you are an experienced and qualified Mortgage Broker looking for a fulfilling and challenging role, and a career with prospects in a growing company with big plans. You are a self-motivated team player who likes to be ahead of the game and relishes working under pressure.

We are a fast-growing UK property management firm and estate agency with big ambitions. Our team currently manages and sells property across the central belt of Scotland, although we have big plans to develop and expand the geographical reach of the business at speed.  

What the job involves

Based in Edinburgh, you will be responsible for developing our new financial services offering to enable us to become a true “one stop” property company.  You will interact with clients and potential clients in the most ethical fashion in order to helping them obtain a cost-effective loan in the most efficient manner.

Some of the finer details of the job; you will:

Develop and maintain relationships with our existing clients in order to develop existing and new business

Maintain the highest standards of compliance

Achieve business targets established by the company

Identify each client’s mortgage and insurance needs and advise them throughout the mortgage lending process

Source the correct products

Submit applications and follow them through to completion

Sell additional products or services where possible

Help to manage our client database

What you will need:

CeMAP qualified, ideally higher level of qualification

Broad knowledge of the UK mortgage market, along with independent mortgage brokering experience (we would prefer candidates from an Estate Agency or a Mortgage Brokerage Background)

A proven background in business development

Knowledge and sales experience of additional insurance products

Strong inter-personal skills

An excellent compliance track record

High level presentation skills

The ability to work quickly, under pressure and to deadlines

Current legal right to work in the UK

Electrician

Looking to recruit full time electricians / electrical technicians within an existing team to undertake electrical services, including EICR’s (together with Remedial works), PAT testing and installation of smoke detectors.

The company requires candidates who can deliver excellent organisational and people skills to work independently and also as a team player within an existing well organised and motivated team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and hard-working candidate with a ‘can do’ attitude

Successful applicants will be provided with a vehicle, phone and tablet.

Skills and experience:

Qualified electrician: 1 year

Relevant electrical qualifications to carry out EICR's & PAT Testing including 17th Edition Regulations - Good communication skills both written and oral. - Attention to detail - Experience of residential electrical repairs and maintenance - Good IT skills.

Full clean Driving Licence

On target earnings of c£24,000 - £30,000 per annum.

ACCOUNTS ADMINISTRATOR

An excellent opportunity has arisen to work for Scotland’s largest independent letting agency, D.J. Alexander.  D.J. Alexander Accounts Team is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations for our letting business to ensure all rent payments are collected and paid to our clients.

The main roles for the position are:-

Processing rental income statements.

Creating BACS payments.

Bank account reconciliation.

Managing account receivable process for landlord and tenant accounts.

Dealing with client e-mail and telephone enquiries.

Non-Resident Tax Reporting.

Month End Client Reporting.

Managing Direct Debit instructions

Experience Required

To be considered for this position you will have previous accounts payable/receivable experience. It is essential that you are well organised and can work well in a busy team environment. We are looking for somebody with an excellent telephone manner and good literacy skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word are required and experience of CFP Winman will be beneficial although is not essential.
