About Morningside

Morningside is a traditional residential area to the south of Edinburgh city centre and approximately three miles from Princes Street. Morningside Road provides a wealth of everyday amenities, with a number of banks, a post office, pharmacy and a wide variety of coffee shops and eateries in the immediate locale. There is an M&S Food store and a large Waitrose supermarket on Morningside Road and further, more extensive shopping amenities of the city centre are a bus ride away. There are a number of excellent golf courses in the area, with the Merchants of Edinburgh and Braid Hills Golf Courses both approximately one mile away. The motorist can gain access to the city bypass via the A702, in turn providing access to the wider motorway network, the M8/M9, Forth Road Bridge and Edinburgh International Airport. Regular bus services operate along Morningside Road, providing links into and around the city centre.
